THOMAS MÜLLER
In the drawing, thinking becomes physical and immediate.
Originally committed to oil painting, Müller has devoted himself to drawing since the nineties. His interest focuses on the expressiveness of the lines, which develop a life of their own, as it were, due to their arrangement and which, in their non-figurative appearance, refuse to be clearly classified and assigned. Once strong or weak — once parallel or overlapping, bodies develop from a balanced interplay of lines and spaces are formed from the bodies. Through this clash of opposites such as order and chaos or emptiness and abundance, Müller creates energetic pictorial spaces that we cannot rationally grasp and thus remain mysterious.
In 2012 works by Thomas Müller were exhibited for the first time at the Galerie Wenger.
